Michael Leidig @ 1915

Michael Leidig is a classical, jazz, and modern rock pianist performing throughout MA, as well as FL, MD, NC, NH, and NY. His solo piano performances have been described as a mellifluous impressionistic blend of well-known jazz, classical, rock, and pop music. Michael weaves interpretations of a wide variety of music from jazz greats, like Bill Evans, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Sinatra, and Vince Guaraldi, to rock artists, such as Abba, Beatles, Bon Jovi, Bowie, CCR, Coldplay, David Gray, Doors, Elvis, Journey, Nora Jones, Peter Gabriel, Santana, Sarah McLachlan, Snow Patrol, Steve Miller, Stevie Nicks, Sting, Queen, and U2, to classical composers including Beethoven, Chopin, MacDowell, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Pachelbel, and Schubert. Michael is known for his eclectic mashups spanning centuries and musical genres, for example, Mozart’s "Rondo 4" and Coldplay’s "Clocks"; Chopin’s "Prelude #4" with "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music and Elvis’ "Big Hunk o’ Love"; Abba’s "Dancing Queen" with David Bowie’s "Heroes" and U2’s "Without or Without You" and "Where the Streets Have No Name."
