Desmond Teague is a multi-instrumentalist, improviser, and composer from Poughkeepsie, New York. He channels the music of the Afro-American diaspora along with countless other influences including folkloric music from around the world, and European classical music, to create a multidirectional approach to writing, improvising, and composing music. Most often he works in the jazz idiom. Each performance is curated to bring the audience along a journey through different musical eras, concepts, and vibrations with the hopes that this music brings them closer to the creator, closer to the people around them, and closer to themselves.
